A hot air balloon ride near Toronto starts long before your feet leave the ground. After you book the date that works best for you, our team watches the forecast closely. On the day of your flight, you’ll receive a weather update a few hours before your scheduled sunrise or sunset time, confirming conditions and your meeting point at one of our beautiful launch sites near St. Jacobs or Stratford. When you arrive, your pilot welcomes you, explains how the flight works, answers questions, and makes sure everyone feels relaxed and excited for the adventure ahead.
Out on the field, you’ll watch the crew stretch the colourful balloon across the grass and slowly bring it to life with powerful fans and burners. It’s one of the most magical, photogenic moments of the experience. Once the balloon is standing tall and ready, you’ll climb into the basket and, almost before you realize it, you’re gently lifting off. The ride is calm and unhurried, usually about 45–60 minutes in the air, drifting with the breeze over farms, forests, rivers, and small Ontario towns.
